Scarnati Announces Senate Republican Committee Chairs
Harrisburg – Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-25) today
announced Senate Republican committee chairmanships for the 2009-2010
legislative session.
“These are talented committee chairs, representing a wide range of
backgrounds and areas of expertise,” said Scarnati. “Committees are
vital to the legislative process and play a key role in the Senate
Republican effort to make the process more open and efficient. Committee
hearings provide a platform for healthy debate, improving bills and
positioning them for consideration by the full Senate. I’m very pleased
to have these members in such key positions.”
