Scarnati, Smith, and Causer Announce Grants 

WARREN-Senator Joe Scarnati of the 25th District, Representative Sam Smith of the 66th District and Representative Martin Causer of the 67th District announced today that the Department of Environmental Protection has approved a series of grants through the Growing Greener Program totaling $1,460,531.

The following groups were selected to receive an Environmental Stewardship and Watershed Protection Grant: 

Arnot SAPS received $102,603, Tunungwant Streambank Stabilization and Health $20,000, Corbettown Discharge Constructed Wetlands $301,055, Montgomery Run Watershed $30,553, Watershed Illegal Dump Assessments $14,319, Arnot No. 2 Mine AMD Treatment System Construction $359,501, Mill Run-Clean Water Alkaline Addition for Mine Drainage Treatment $50,000, Schatz FGM Construction $55,000, Moravian Run Watershed Snapshot $7,500, Corey Creek Reach B (Phase Two Construction) $100,000, The Mill Creek Watershed AMD Treatment Systems-Comprehensive OM&R Plan $60,000, Brockway Flood Control Facility-Natural Channel Design/Stream Restoration-Phase III $250,000, Brockway Flood Control Facility-Natural Channel Design/Stream Restoration-Phase III $10,000, Caylor Run Abandoned Mine Drainage Design $30,000, and Kinzua Creek Watershed Improvement $70,000. 

"These grants represent part of our ongoing efforts to clean up watersheds, and as a result, revitalize communities across Pennsylvania," noted Scarnati.  "As enhanced opportunities prevail, impact funding of this nature will help our residents of the 25th District by providing a better quality of life; something all of us would like to achieve," concluded Scarnati.
